Fuck Narc. Both you and I know that going to AA is one of the best decisions you'll ever make. From my experience with GA, the actually "group experience" may or may not be what helps, but the idea of going and listening to how everyone has fucked up their lives utterly and completely through substance abuse or in my case, gambling, will hopefully give you some more perspective. Hyde, I'm really glad that you at least went, it shows a step and an important step at that. Narc yelling at you for going to AA is just a manifestation of his own realization that he has an alcohol problem but that you are actually going to do something about it. Let him find another drinking buddy, because apparently that's what he sees you as. As opposed to me and the rest of the world that truly appreciates you for the wonderful person that you are. So, in, the words of a sage neighbor of mine, "Cheer up Charlie!"
